Print on cardstock and laminate. Make available with a dry erase marker, a tiny piece of Magic Eraser (my personal favorite for erasing) and a tape dispenser of scotch or washi tape (easier to get off). Child can label objects in room with pre-written labels and/or write them in themselves.
