This PDF includes two versions of the handwriting book: one with larger lines and less practice and the other with smaller lines and more practice. I would recommend using both, starting with the beginner version.

This focuses on letter formation AND line placement. I teach with the pink lined paper as the backdrop for all writing - scavenger hunt labels, Movable Alphabet mats and journals.

I teach in the order of “pink letters”, “low letters” and “tall letters.” The order within each of these three umbrellas is less important. It is putting the focus on line placement. Here is a recommendation of ordering the book:

Or you can introduce the letters based fully on formation and less on line placement:

The prompts are completely made up by me (they are not official from any handwriting program! Just my brain at work). They are printed on the bottom of the "beginner" book. Arrows are featured on the large embedded mnemonics image at the top of the page for finger tracing. Of course you can print and bind these into books or you can just pass one page out at a time and keep it in a folder.
